Our dispute resolution team comprises nearly 30 lawyers, including 14 partners. All of our lawyers graduated from top-tier law schools in China, the U.S., the U.K., Canada or Germany, with both Chinese and English as their working languages. A number of our lawyers are frequently appointed as arbitrators by major arbitration institutions both in China and abroad. Some lawyers are former judges from Chinese courts of various levels including the Supreme Court of China, or former prosecutors from the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of China.

For years, we have been providing constructive and practical legal advice or resolution plans in relation to commercial disputes to our clients, successfully representing a great deal of high profile and complicated cases involving disputes in a variety of industries.

We have represented various clients in cases tried by the Supreme Court of China and other PRC courts of all levels, and represented arbitrations before a number of international arbitration institutions. We have established close cooperation with many international law firms located in the U.S., Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, the U.K. and other European countries in the field of dispute resolutions, from which our clients can enjoy first class international legal services.

Litigation

Our team successfully represents clients in nearly a hundred of high profile and complicated commercial litigations every year, involving an accumulated disputed amount of billions of Chinese Yuan. The disputes are in connection with international sales of goods, joint venture, maritime, letter of credit, letter of guarantee, real estate, intellectual property and securities. Our services include providing legal advice or resolution plans as to the dispute resolutions, background investigation, reservation of properties, providing legal opinions, participating in the litigations, enforcement of judgments, rulings and other effective legal instruments. Our clients are mainly international companies, major state-owned enterprises of China, departments of central government and local governments, non-commercial entities and private-owned enterprises

Arbitration

We represent both domestic and foreign clients in domestic and foreign-related arbitration cases before arbitration centers located in China, such as the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (the “CIETAC”) and Beijing Arbitration Commission. Seven of our partners are currently on the panel of arbitrators of CIETAC and three of our partners are arbitrators of Beijing Arbitration Commission.

Our Team

Our team consists of nearly 30 partners and senior associates, assisted by a number of talented junior associates. Our partners have years of experience in litigation and arbitration, most of them used to work in law firms in the U.K., the U.S., Canada, Japan, Germany or Hong Kong. In addition, some of our partners used to be judges of the Supreme Court of China or high courts of provinces, who have rich experience in trying commercial dispute cases.

Our partners have also made remarkable academic achievements. A number of partners have published books or essays on laws.

All members of our team can communicate with clients fluently in English and draft documents in English, which enables us to provide high quality services to foreign clients and Chinese clients in foreign related cases.
